2014 Infinti Q50 rolls of Nissan Tochigi plant Infiniti yesterday announced the roll out of the first production Infiniti Q50 Sports Sedan at its Tochigi plant in Japan.

The anticipated Infiniti Q50 which premiered at January’s North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) is the marque’s exemplary sports sedan  and bears the hallmark of the new generation of Infiniti cars.  It sets fresh benchmarks in the areas of emotive styling, advanced technology and performance. The Q50’s debut proves that Infiniti has indeed embark on its global expansion plans.

Three-time Formula One Champion, Sebastian Vettel, played an active role in the testing and evaluation program of the Q50 in his capacity of Infiniti’s Director of Performance. As Director of Performance, Vettel would continue to assist the marque in shaping the performance dynamics of future variants. Infiniti is, of course, title sponsors of Vettel’s Formula 1 team Red Bull Racing.

Preliminary information entails that the Infiniti Q50 boasts a premium sport, dynamism design; ; unprecedented levels of craftsmanship on the inside and out; and a raft of breakthrough technologies such as Direct Adaptive Steering, driver -centric gizmos and many more.

At the official roll out ceremony from Nissan’s Tochigi plant, President and CEO of Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.  Carlos Ghosn and President of Infiniti Motor Johan de Nysschen were present to officiate the first Infiniti Q50s that rolled off the assembly line.  Ghosn commented, “Thanks to the skill and constant focus on performance improvement, Tochigi has a global reputation for producing top-quality vehicles. Year after year, Tochigi sets the benchmark for manufacturing quality standards. With the Q50, once again the Tochigi team has showcased their skill and expertise and proven the power of Japanese monozukuri.”

De Nysschen added that the Q50 was the opening salvo in Infiniti’s new product portfolio under the “Q” naming structure which was launched in December last year. “The first Infiniti in our new line-up had to reflect the brand’s core values of seductive design, passionate attention to detail, precision in fit and finish, exhilarating performance and a provocative challenge to the status quo. The Q50 certainly does that.”

Domestic Infiniti distributors Inspired Motor has confirmed that they’d bring the new Infiniti Q50 to the country in a not-too-distant future.
