UMW Toyota Motor has announced new variants of the Toyota Hilux, including an “L-Edition”, and the updated Toyota Sienta. The Toyota Hilux pick up is due for upgrade, following its release a couple of years back.
New updates for the Hilux L-Edition are available both 2.8 liter AT 4×4 and 2.4 liter AT 4×4 Hilux. To compare regular Hilux wuth the L-Edition, the “Luxury” version comes with the fresh front design and a wider, hexagonal grille surrounded by chrome trim.
The bumper now has a different profile with a larger and wider air intake below the grille. From the rear, the pick up features a 2018 step ornament, integrated with silver trim. New 5-spoke 18-inch wheels in two-tone complete the ‘premium-ness’ of the 2018 Hilux.
Interior-wise, the Hilux L-Edition has an all-black interior with a combination of piano black trim throughout the cabin, as well as perforated leather seats. In addition, the 2.8 Hilux has new Optitron meters with white background lighting.
For safety, the L-Edition is equipped with 7 airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Active Traction Control (A-TRC) and Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) as standard. For the 2.8 L-Edition, Downhill Assist Control (DAC) is added to make driving down a breeze.
The Hilux L-Edition is available with a 2.8-liter or 2.4-liter 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine, both are equipped with 6-speed automatic transmission with sequential shifter.
Toyota Sienta MPV updated for the better
The 2018 version will only be available as 1.5V variant and now comes with additional accessories and features at no price change, such as an upgraded 6.9-inch DVD-AVX system with Bluetooth, HDMI, SD Card slot and a reverse camera. Options to upgrade to a 7-inch touchscreen DVD-AVN system with navigation is available.
New for the Sienta is the optional Panoramic View Monitor that will definitely provide assistance to park the vehicle. Finally, the USB charging ports have been added in the second row for good measures, as do a trunk mat and other typical updates.
