The tenth-generation Honda Civic received essential updates for 2020. The Civic SI is only relevant for the U.S. market and comes in Sedan and Coupe variants.
New for 2020 are fresh front and rear styling, improved LED headlights, revised final-drive ratio and Honda Sensing. And the best thing is the Civic SI has a starting retail price tag of just USD25,000.
Updates at the front see the wing grille updated, along with the lower bumper’s fog light bumpers, multi-LEDs, new LED fog lights, and the rear’s new lower bumper with gloss black and a body-colored crossbars. Black matte 18-inch wheels with performance tyres complete the package.
The seats now come in red accents to appease driver and passengers inside, while the instrument panel has red trim to bring up that sporty feel. Honda has updated the display audio system as well.
Powering the Civic SI is a 205-horsepower, 1.5-liter, direct injected and turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder engine, paired to a slick-shifting 6-speed manual transmission. Meantime, a helical LSD (limited-slip differential), adjustable two-mode adaptive damper system and new for 2020, the Civic SI has a 6-percent shorter final-drive ratio.
.The Honda Sensing suite on the Civic SI is updated for the year with Active Sound Control, along with an electronic parking brake with an automatic Brake Hold feature and a 7-inch digital TFT instrument cluster. A whole of host of existing driver assistance systems and safety features have been carried forward from the 2019 Civic SI.
