The Peugeot 208 R2’s record of wins and titles at international and level has seen the car emerge as the benchmark in rallying’s R2 class. During its first year of sale, 100 cars were delivered and, three years on, sales of the French hot hatch continue to be buoyant with cars competing in 20 countries, including Argentina, Chile, Japan, Senegal, not to mention European markets like Austria, Germany, Spain, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland and more.

The 208th 208 R2 has just been shipped to Chile, South America, where it will join three other 208 R2s in the country’s rally championship run by Team Joker.

Laurent Guyot, Manager, Peugeot Sport Racing, commented, “The 208 R2 is Peugeot Sport’s best-selling variant. The market is fiercely competitive but the 208 stands out as the incontestable benchmark in the R2 class thanks not only to its performance credentials, but also to its reliability and the enjoyment it delivers, all for an attractive, pre-tax ready-to-rally price of 58, 000 Euros. It is still evolving, too, in order to give our customers the very best chance of winning individual events and championships across the world. The 208th car, like the 100th and the 200th, is a landmark number we thought was worth underlining!”
