Aston Martin has started 2020 with a bang, with the announcement of the new V12 Speedster. The Aston Martin V12 Speedster is limited in quantity and slated for world premiere real soon.
The 2-seater Aston Martin V12 Speedster carries elements from the brand’s bespoke division, Q by Aston Martin. When it comes to looks, the V12 Speedster takes inspiration from the DBR1, the ’59 Le Mans winner, and the Centenary CC100 Speedster concept (2013). At this point in time, Aston Martin hasn’’t released too much except for the sketch of the high-performance Roadster.
The V12 Speedster incorporates a high-performance variant of Aston Martin’s now iconic, 5.2-liter V12 Twin-Turbo, capable of generating an output of around 700 PS and 700 Nm. Offering a compelling breadth of performance, lightning speed response and thrilling V12 soundtrack, the engine is mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission mounted towards the rear of the car.
Naturally, the powertrain found in the Aston Martin V12 Speedster has an abundance of character, with the engine note and sound quality playing an important part in driving experience.
Rare and exclusive, only 88 units of the Aston Martin V12 Speedster are made available worldwide. Customers can only expect delivery of the high performance roadster by first quarter of 2021.
