Audi A4 2.0 TFSI comes in at an introductory price of RM 239,900

Audi Malaysia today introduced the ninth-generation A4, the most popular model in the four-ring marque’s entire line-up. The new Audi A4 2.0 TFSI comes with an introductory price of 239,900. Audi Malaysia has revealed that the new Audi A4 2.0 TFSI marked the starting point of the reintroduction of the A4 range in the country. The company is set to announced the entry level A4 1.4 TFSI and a performance-oriented 2.0 TFSI quattro variant by January next year.

In looks, the new Audi A4 showcases balanced, harmonious proportions with sporty and functional design elements. The front of the Audi A4 sees a wide and expansive frame characterized with horizontal lines and dominated by the signature sculptured Singleframe grille flanked with distinctive LED headlights.

A precise and prominent shoulder line runs the length of the vehicle, giving it an athletic and elongated appearance, especially when coupled with the 17-inch 5 parallel-spoke design alloy wheels. At the rear, LED rear lights with dynamic indicators as standard ensure that the new Audi A4 makes as much of an impression leaving as it does when arriving. Despite being an all-round larger car with an increase of 25 mm in length and 16 mm in width, the all-new Audi A4 is up to 120kg lighter than its predecessor due to an intelligent mix of materials and lightweight design, also making it the lightest vehicle in its class.

The side mirrors of the new Audi A4 also now sit on the shoulders of the car rather than off the A-pillar, imbuing the sportier look previously only seen on the Audi TT and R8, but also improving its aerodynamics allowing it to clock in at a class-leading 0.23 in terms of drag coefficient value.

Moving to the inside, the new Audi A4 offers a spacious and high-tech interior. The cabin is not just bigger, but more refined and accommodating than ever. Starting with a wrap-around cabin that is centered around the driver, the horizontal architecture that defines the exterior continues on the inside with a slim, floating dashboard marked with continuous Aluminum Ellipse inlays and air-conditioning vents that extend across the console.

The center of the dashboard houses the MMI radio plus, which features a fixed 7-inch screen and the Audi sound system with 6-channel amplifier and 10 loudspeakers (180 watts). In the driver’s seat, the new Audi A4 comes fitted with a sporty 3-spoke multi-function plus leather steering with shift paddles as standard. Owner can now also pick either the standard analog dials coupled with a 7-inch TFT Audi Driver Information System (DIS) with color display or the Audi virtual cockpit with the optional Technology package, which replaces the standard instrument cluster with a highly customizable 12.3-inch high-resolution TFT monitor.

For upholstery, the front seats are adjustable with four-way lumbar support and the rear seats consist of 40:20:40 split fold; which can increase the boot space from 480 liters to a massive 965 liters,

The new Audi A4 2.0 TFSI comes equipped with Audi’s latest 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine, paired to a 7-speed S tronic gearbox. The powertrain enables 190 hp of output and 320 Nm of torque from a low 1,450 to 4,200 rpm with a 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.3 seconds and top speed of 240km/h. Despite its able performance, the Audi A4 2.0 TFSI maintains a combined fuel consumption of just 5.0 liters/100km and a CO2 emissions rating of 114g/km.

Making huge strides forward in terms of drivability, the new Audi A4 is not just sporty and performance-oriented but also comfortable and easier to drive than ever before. Built on the new MLB-Evo platform that also underpins the Audi Q7 SUV, the chassis of the new Audi A4 works in tandem with its electromechanical power steering system and newly developed five-link adaptive comfort suspension system with damper control to filter out road unevenness for passengers whilst ensuring optimal driver feedback.

As with all Audi vehicles, the Audi drive select comes as standard, allowing the adjustment of suspension, engine and drivetrain settings to suit the driver’s personal preferences and road conditions.

The new Audi A4 also comes equipped with a host of electronic features to ensure an efficient and safe driving experience, including a start/stop system with energy recuperation, Electronic Stabilization Control (ESC), Traction Control (ASR), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), parking aid plus with selective display, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and a total of 6 airbags.

The new Audi A4 2.0 TFSI is available in ten colors: Glacier White, Floret Silver, Matador Red, Tango Red, Argus Brown, Scuba Blue, Monsoon Grey, Manhattan Grey and Mythos Black, as well as a special Daytona Grey with pearl effect for vehicles purchased with the optional S line package.

There are two equipment lines for the new A4, the S line and Technology packages. The S line package comes with front and rear bumpers, 18-inch 5-twin-spoke star design wheels, illuminated front door sill trims with aluminum inlays, Alcantara leather front sport seats in black, S line sport leather steering and numerous other sporty features and retails; for an additional RM 25,000. The technology pack includes Matrix LED headlights with dynamic indicators at the front, MMI Navigation plus with MMI touch, Audi virtual cockpit, Audi smartphone interface, Audi connect and a rear view camera.

The new Audi A4 2.0 TFSI will be available from 20 September at all authorized Audi dealerships from RM 248,900, with the first 100 units going at a special introductory price of RM 239,900.
