Audi Malaysia has introduced the 2.0 TFSI Q7 for the domestic market, a year after they unveiled the 3.0 TFSI Q7. Priced from RM 524,900, the Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI is available for bookings at Audi dealerships nationwide.
Exterior=wise, the Audi Q7 2.0 quattro is similar to its larger sibling with highlights including 19-inch 5 V-spoke wheels, instead of 20-inch cast aluminium wheels, the familiar singleframe grille on the front fascia with LED headlights and double arrow-patterned DRLs. Options to upgrade the exterior and interior for an extra RM15,000 consist of front and rear bumpers, diffusers, 20-inch cast aluminium wheels, S line sports steering, sport seats, special inlays and more.
Upon entry, the Audi Q7 is a luxurious lounge for up to seven people, with electrically adjustable front seats with four-way lumbar support, a generously apportioned second row with ample leg room and a versatile electrically-operated third row of 50:50 split seats that can be folded down to increase the cargo space from an already spacious 770 litres to a cavernous 1955 liters. Front seat passengers are greeted with finely crafted dashboard featuring a two-tone inlay featuring an upper inlay in silver grey with a diamond finish and a lower inlay in anthracite with an anodized finish. Further plush features comprise of a 4-spoke steering with multifunction plus and shift paddles, Audi MMI navigation plus with MMI touch infotainment system, 8.3-inch central screen with high-resolution graphics, and a 9-channel amplifier with 10 loudspeakers for a total output of 180 watts.
The 2.0TFSI Audi Q7 is powered by a two-liter and 8-speed tiptronic transmission powertrain for an output of 252 hp and a maximum torque of 370 Nm between a range of 1,600 and 4,500 rpm. With this configuration, the Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI quattro accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 7.1 seconds, a full 0.8 seconds faster than the previous generation’s 3.0 TFSI variant of the Audi Q7. Despite its sporty capabilities, the new Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI quattro has a frugal fuel consumption rating of just 7.4l/100 km and a CO2 emissions rating of just 172 g/km.
A lighter gross weight of 325 kgs on the Q7 2.0 TFSI is attributed to the use of intelligent multi-material design and deployment of aluminium components. Air suspension comes standard on the Q7 2.0-liter, along with a continuously variable electronically controlled air spring damper system for impeccable ride comfort and handling.
In addition to the standard Auto, Dynamic, Efficiency, Comfort and Individual settings, the Audi drive select in the Q7 2.0 TFSI quattro also features an Allroad mode which prepares the vehicle for mixed terrain by lifting the ride height by 25 mm and Lift/Offroad mode which prepares the SUV to go far off the beaten track by raising the right height to the maximum of 60 mm. On the other end of the spectrum, there is a convenient loading mode, which lowers the rear axle by 45 mm in order to increase accessibility to the luggage compartment.
A suite of assistance systems and safety terms are pre-loaded for the Q7 2.0-liter, including start/stop system with energy recovery, tyre pressure loss indicator, hill descent control, Electronic Stabilization Control (ESC) with Traction Control (ASR), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and a total of eight airbags.
The Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI is offered in seven color hues: Glacier White, Floret Silver, Argus Brown, Ink Blue, Graphite Grey, Orca Black and a special Daytona Grey with pearl effect.
