The luxury SUV market has now being spiced up even more with the arrival of the updated Bentley Bentayga. The Bentley Bentayga has been a successful model from Bentley with more than 20,000 units sold worldwide. Recently, Bentley just updated the Bentayga with updated looks and more feature to make the Bentayga more appealing.
For starters, let’s focus on the exterior, the Bentayga gets a cleaner look and becomes more contemporary. Inheriting design elements from its famous siblings like the Continental GT and Flying Spur, The new Bentley SUV features a matrix grille, a sweeping bonnet, chrome finishes and LED matrix headlights. For the first time, the Bentayga takes up new elliptical headlights, which sparkles when unlit.
The luxury SUV from Bentley has a longer vent, positioned above the sculpted power line on the side of the front wing and lower door mouldings alongside the discreet V8 emblem.
From the rear, the main addition to the new Bentayga is the elliptical rearlights. The lights offers an animated ‘welcome’ feature with a sweeping direction indicator. The reworked rear end include a cleaner, more contemporary design, lowered license plate, large oval-shaped split sport tailpipes and a longer spoiler. New 22-inch wheels, with up to five unique designs complete the package.
The Bentayga comes with two new body hues Viridian and Patina, plus a world of Bentley’s exclusive individualization possibilities.
Inside, you’d expect the first-class cabin from the master craftsmen at Crewe. Notable highlights are the new door trims, a new steering, and a redesigned center fascia and digital instrumentation cluster. The dashboard has the Bentley ‘wings’ design ethos to go with a sculpted single vent with chrome bezel, the touchscreen and Breitling analog clock. On the center console, there are slots for small items and a wireless charger.
The seats of the Bentayga can be configured to 5- or 4-, even a 7-seater, thanks to a new seat frame. All seats now have a more sculpted shape, especially around the shoulder area. New foam and cover designs are standard, while Contrast Stitching and Hand Cross Stitching deliver extra design detail. Seat micro piping is also available for the first time on Bentayga. The five-seat configuration now has the option of rear-seat ventilation, previously available only on the four-seat cabin. The four-seat Bentayga benefits from a 30 mm increase in knee room in the upright seated position, with an improvement of almost 100 mm in the reclined position, helping to make travel even more comfortable. Another highlight is the Mulliner Driving Specification with eight veneers including two straight grained options (Koa and Crown Cut Walnut). A dark tint diamond brushed aluminium finish trim is available as an option for this luxury SUV, first for a Bentley. Head-up Display, in-car entertainment, navigation, My Bentley Connected and remote services are some of the infotainment offerings. The standard audio comes with the 12-speaker 590W Signature Audio, or the optional Naim for Bentley system with 1,780 W of power via 20 speakers.
The Bentayga SUV carries a proven 4.0-liter, 32-valve dual twin-scroll turbocharged V8 petrol engine that offers 542 bhp (550 PS) and 770 Nm of torque. Power is transferred to the wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. A top speed of 290 km/h is accorded while a zero to hundred sprint takes 4.5 seconds. Bentley plans to introduce a performance-focused Speed variant in time. This high-performance SUV is powered by Bentley’s 6.0-liter W12 TSI engine. There’s even a hybrid variant on the horizon.
Some of the innovative driver assist and safety features in this luxury SUV are the Bentley Dynamic Ride, an array of on and off-road drive settings from the Bentley’s Drive Dynamics Mode and the optional All-Terrain Specification (up to 8 modes).
