BMW 320i Sport and X1 usher in 2020 for BMW Malaysia

BMW Malaysia kicks off the year with an announcement of two fresh models, the 320i Sport and X1. Both models are locally-assembled for the premium compact sedan and compact SUV markets.

The 2020 BMW 320i Sport is the newest member of the coveted 3 Series line-up. What’s new with the 320i Sport? It’s got front LED fog light and Air Curtains integrated into the outer air intakes, which form a T shape on the front apron. BMW added V-spoke 18-inch wheels to give 320i Sport its character, plus reduce gross weight by 30 kg (kerb weight of 1,460 kg. A trusty 2.0l bi-turbo is standard, across the 3 Series except for the entry level version.

Inside, the standard equipment are; 3-zone a/c climate control, Aluminium ‘Mesheffect’ finish, Sport leather steering, and the BMW Live Cockpit Plus, comprising the 5.7-inch display and 8.8-inch touchscreen. This version also includes ConnectedDrive, Reversing Assistant, Rear View Camera and BMW Digital Key.

The 2020 320i Sport comes in these colors: Mediterranean Blue, Black Sapphire, Alpine White, Mineral Grey and Sunset Orange, paired with premium Black Leather Vernasca upholstery. Available from 10 January, it goes for RM 243,800.

Next up, the X1 SAV now has a joined kidney grille, a reworked front bumper, integrated LED fog lights and larger air intakes. Headlights are hexagonal and made up of LED tubes. 

Welcome Light greets passengers upon entry and projects two-tone hues. From the rear, the lights is seen as a single LED bar and give an L impression when viewed from either side. The added M elements give the X1 a sporty impression, obviously. The M additions include M Suspension (10mm lower), shadow line, exhausts and 18-inch M two-tone lightweight wheels. The SAV takes up a 2.0l bi-turbo and 7-speed gearbox standard powertrain.

Moving inside, the 8.8-inch touchscreen takes center stage along with the iDrive Controller on the center console and instrument cluster with black-panel, chrome rings.

Body hues for the X1 M are Misano Blue, Black Sapphire, Alpine White and Mineral Grey, Interior is made up of premium Black Leather Dakota upholstery with perforations. The X1 M arrives at dealerships  by 13 January at a recommended price of RM 233,800.
