Additionally, the facility has a customer lounge, several sales discussion and meeting rooms and a dedicated MINI service reception.
The highlight at the BMW Ingress Auto official introduction is none other than the BMW 3 Series GT, the third version of BMW Malaysia’s bread and butter variant. The BMW 3 Series GT is built on a lightweight construction concept with plenty of race car-inspired elements such as; air breathers, a functional rear spoiler, and all decked in the BMW Sports Line trimming.
The BMW 3 Series GT bears all of the Munich-based marque’s hallmarks on its front fascia; large black kidney grille, twin Bi-Xenon headlights with corona rings and LED accent lights, and a relatively updated element; the ‘Air Breathers’ that is positioned parallel to the front wheels. The Air Breathers are in place to reduce drag round the wheel arches. At the side, the GT takes up a coupe-like roofline and frameless side windows that flow to the rear. From the rear, the GT features irrestible LED-strip rear lights and the functional rear spoiler that works according to the car’s speed. To spruce up the GT 3 Series, the car is instilled with double spoke design 18” light-alloy wheels.
The BMW 3 Series GT 328i measures 82m long, 1.50m tall and has a 2.92m wheelbase; that’s 20cm longer and 7.9cm taller than the regular 3 Series Sedan.
With its upgraded cabin size, raised seating position and additional 7 cm of rear seat passenger’s legroom, the new BMW 3 Series GT definitely fits five adults rather comfortably. Boot space is up to 520 liters thanks to the additional 40-liter luggage space with the rear seats’s 40:20:40 split-fold and intelligent luggage compartment management system. At the same time, the standard electrically-operated tailgate enables passengers to open and close the back compartment with just a touch of a button.
Pertinent interior features of the BMW 3 Series GT include; paddle shifters, a sports leather steering wheel with multifunctional buttons, sports seats with electric seat adjustment, as well as the 9-speaker HiFi loudspeaker system. Then there’s always the BMW ConnectedDrive, the information gateway between the car and its occupants. In the 3 Series GT, the BMW ConnectedDrive is equipped with internet connectivity, Park Distance Control, Navigation System Professional, and a plethora of enhancements such as; the BMW TeleServices, Bluetooth interface with extended Office functions and the iPhone Application.
Powered by a 2.0-liter TwinTurbo powerplant that’s paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the BMW 3 Series GT 328i powers up to 245 hp with torque peaking at 350Nm. The GT does 0 – 100 km/h dash in 6.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250km/h. Fuel economy-wise, the GT averages 6.4l per 100km, and emits 149g per km CO2. Four drive modes are available on the 3 Series GT: ECO PRO, COMFORT, SPORT and SPORT+.
