The 2019 Hyundai NEXO hydrogen fuel cell electric SUV is the 1st hydrogen fuel cell vehicle that has tested and earned a TOP SAFETY PICK+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for vehicles built after June 2019, and only available in California. Hyundai has nominated the NEXO to be tested in the IIHS award even though a vehicle such as NEXO would not normally be included in the IIHS routine test schedule. Geely and Volvo partners to develop new Internal Combustion Engine

Proton’s Chinese partners Geely is planning to merge its combustion engine operations with Volvo. In time, Geely and Volvo will work together as a global supplier on the next-generation combustion engines and hybrid powertrains.
