Goodyear reports highest growth for 2nd quarter Sales and revenue

Goodyear has reported higher returns in sales and revenue for the second quarter of 2011 spurred by better product variations and other tyre related businesses. Globally, Goodyear’s second quarter 2011 sales accounted for $5.6billion, up 24 percent from a year ago and the highest ever achieved by the company in any quarter. Tyre unit volumes totaled 42.9 million, down 2 percent from 2010, primarily reflecting weaker industry volumes, particularly in the North American consumer tyre business.
