Mazda publishes details of future powertrains

Mazda Motor Corporation has published new details about its next-generation powertrain technologies with the name SKYACTIV. These include completely new engines, transmissions, bodies and platforms that will be launched starting in 2011 and make major reductions in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions for all Mazda models possible. This process will initially concentrate on lightweight construction as a core value of the brand, along with the optimization of conventional powertrain technologies. GM runs Electric-based Chevrolet Cruzes in key project

General Motors has planned out a demonstration project utilizing a fleet of electric-based Chevrolet Cruze. Along with project partners; GM Daewoo, LG Chem and LG Electronics, the giant Automotive company will run the project initiation in Seoul, South Korea at the end of October.
