Naza Group today unveiled five new models from various Brands under the Group’s umbrella. The new models comprise the Chevrolet Colorado X, Piaggio Medley S, Vespa S125 I-GET, Ducati Monster 797 and Ducati Multistrada 950. This is the first time Naza Group had performed a cumulative launch for the Brands under its wings.
We start off with the Chevy Colorado X range, which is available in three variants: the Colorado X, X-Urban and X-ADV. The Colorado X-ADV has an on-the-road price of RM 150,920, the X-Urban at RM 136,782 and the X Standard is RM 113,248 onwards. Each pick-up is catered to different lifestyle profiles, for example regular pick-up requirements to extreme thrill seekers.
The three new variants (Colorado X, Colorado X-Urban and Colorado X-ADV) offers extra aesthetics over the standard model whilst still retaining its tough yet refined appearance. The Colorado X accentuates black as its classy identity. First up, the standard Colorado X entry level comes with new Black Emblems which replace the current Golden Bowtie both at the front and the rear tailgate. Then, there’s the X-brand Hood & Bed Liner decal, Black Hood decal, Black Chrome fuel cover, Black Tailgate decal with enlarged ‘Colorado’ emblem and lastly Black Coated wheels.
The top flight Colorado X-ADV comes with everything else on top of what’s offered in the other two variants: new Sport Bar, 16-inch Black Fuel wheels, Mud Terrain tyres, Black side step, Black fender flares, and Black-painted front grille panel, rear bumper, side Mirrors & door handles. A 4X4 suspension system is fitted with the X-ADV for obvious reasons, as does a taller ride height. The 4×4 Suspension provides a range of tuned and matched integrated systems, each offering optimum levels of comfort and noticeable improvements to the truck’s performance including load carrying capability and control characteristics.
All three new variant are equipped with an upgraded 2.5l Duramax four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that features a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT). The Euro-4 compliant engine produces 132kW (180 horsepower) at 3,600rpm and 440Nm at a low 2,000rpm. It is mated to a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission.
To lower its NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) level, the Colorado is fitted with a sound deadener around the injectors, revised body mounts, engine mounts, increased chassis rigidity and new cabin mounts. Additionally, new front brake rotor compound and new suspensions tuned with digressive shocks adds to the lower NVH level.
For safety, the Colorado X features Electric Power Steering (EPS), Traction Control System (TCS), Panic Brake Assist (PBA), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Descent Control (HDC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA) in addition to the two front airbags, along with a knee airbag for the driver. It also has Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, front and rear park assist sensors and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. Auto rain sensor, auto headlight, front-park assist and a reverse camera. Other worthy mentions for the Colorado X range is the CarPlay connectivity with Siri Eyes Free and voice recognition, depending on variant.
