In addition, Continental Tyre PJ intends to educate its employees and the public to cultivate a life-long interest in wildlife, conversation and environmental protection. Continental is now actively involved with the wildfire sponsorship program by adopting a Colt or an infant male horse from the National Zoo, which Continental purposefully named “Hobbit”. The sponsorship of the Colt is deemed important to Continental as the Horse/Stallion happens to appear as the symbol of truth for the German brand. Accordingly, the Horse represents the trademark, long standing tradition and the pride of Continental. The horse symbol represents the brand’s long standing tradition and is a registered trademark of the brand.
Patrick Haarmann, Plant Manager of Continental Tyre PJ, commented, “We are proud to announce that we are sponsoring an animal from the National Zoo as part of our CSR activity. It is our utmost pleasure to adopt this Colt as part of our wildlife appreciation initiative as well. Our aim is to promote harmony between man and nature and we are certain that this wildlife sponsorship will be a stepping stone to the many CSR activities that we’ve planned in the future.”
In an official signing ceremony with the National Zoo authorities to adopt the Colt, Harmann and fellow head of departments Ahmad Kamal Samsuddin and Cameron Wilson were on hand to kick off the 12-month sponsorship program.
