Everyone in the country who’s on a look out for entry level rides already got an overview of Perodua’s new sedan model, the Bezza. The Perodua Bezza has been the buzzword in town since last week with the company organizing a preview drive and announcing pricing in its precursor stage. For starters, the Perodua Bezza starts at a low, low price of RM 37,300 for the base variant and up to RM 50,800 for the Advance option. Bookings already kicked off on 16 July…
Available in three variants with two engine options, the Perodua Bezza comes in Standard, Premium X and Advance editions. The standard Bezza is offered with a 1.0-liter engine, matched to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed auto transmission, while the Premium X edition gets a 1.3-liter engine, paired to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed auto transmission. The Advance version is fitted with a 1.3-liter engine with 4-speed auto transmission option only. Output and torque ratings for the Bezza range from 50 kW to 70 kW and 91 – 121 Nm, respectively. As a fuel efficient sub-compact model, the Bezza standard version offers extreme fuel economy at 22.8 km/l with the manual option and 21.3 km/l on auto gearbox. The Bezza Premium X has a suggestive fuel consumption of 21.7 km/l (manual) and 21 km/l (auto). Finally, the Bezza Advance is estimated to have a fuel rating of 22 km/l.
The Perodua Bezza’s indicative kerb weight of under 1,000 kg, from 865 to 930 kg, pits it as a true sub-compact model built for the masses. Hence, Perodua indicates this new sedan as a quality sedan at an affordable price tag. For a sub-compact that has it all, Perodua didn’t skim on the technology offerings for the Bezza; the Bezza is fitted with the Eco Idle system on the Advance version, Smart Entry with Push Start switch is available for the Premium X and Advance variants, Boot release with button and remote, and Multimedia system with Navigation & Smart Link (Advance only), just to name a few.
The Bezza features a roomy cabin that fits four adults with 8+1 seating arrangement and 60:40 split folding seats. A pretty large boot space with a capacity of 508 liters makes it one of the best-in-class. Its clean, simple dashboard portrays simplicity at best, and the fabric seats are the similar type found on the Axia model.
Further details of the new Perodua Bezza will be available after its 21 July official release.
