Demands for the Honda BR-V go through the roof

The Honda BR-V has recorded an approximate sales total of 11,000 units, six months since it came out. The total has exceeded its annual sales target of 10,000 units, according to a press statement by Honda Malaysia.

With the overwhelming response, Honda Malaysia now set a 50 percent or 15,000 units higher target for this model for the rest of the year.

The sales total is led by the BR-V V variant with a cumulative 80 percent, followed by the E variant, 20 percent. Customers’ favorite colors for the BR-V are the Taffeta White and Modern Steel Metallic, which accounted for 27% and 25% of the total. By regions, the Klang Valley takes up the largest 44 percent of the sales pie, then the Southern region with 20% and Northern region with 18%. East Malaysia contributed another 10 percent, which had exceeded its initial 6 percent sales target. The BR-V makes up 34 percent of overall sales for Honda in East Malaysia.

Based on internal sales information, the average BR-V customers are mostly National upgraders and Non-National additional car buyers who are looking for a bigger vehicle within their budget to accommodate the needs of their growing families. The BR-V also seemed to be the choice for about 14% of first time car buyers due to its affordable price, good fuel economy and sporty exterior features. Customers of the BR-V were also attracted to the appealing legroom and headroom at the 3rd row which is very convenient and provides the comfort for adults during long distance journeys. Other leading USPs of the BR-V are the class-topping features such as the huge trunk space (223 liters, up to 539 liters), decent output and high ground clearance.

In addition, buyers are probably impress with the solid wing face design on the exterior of the BR-V. The design is further complemented with a set of roof rail, DRLs and 16-inch dual-tone wheels. Aside from the price tag, interior of the BR-V offers the style, space, convenience and comfort that a Full 7-Seater requires. The BR-V  V variant offers more goodies like a 6.1-inch display Audio and auto a/c, push-start switch and Smart Entry, leather trims and leather steering with audio switches.

To cope with the heighten demands, Honda Malaysia reassures a quick expected delivery time for the BR-V, which remains at 1 to 2 months.  On a similar note, Honda Malaysia is working closely with all 91 Honda dealers nationwide to constantly improve and upgrade the dealership services in order to enhance customer experience and prolonged care for all Honda vehicles.
