Editor’s Choice Award for Proton Iriz

National carmakers Proton announced that the Iriz compact car has received another recognition, the Best Compact Hatch, Editor’s Choice Award by an established domestic media organization.

The Proton Iriz model, which made its earlier debut at the DRB-HICOM Autofest in May, was officially rolled out on 5 June. The event, which was held at Royale Chulan Damansara, Petaling Jaya was hosted by the Star Media Group.

Since it was first brought to the market in September 2014, the Iriz has sold more than 45,616 units, making it one of the most popular Proton models. The Iriz had also bagged numerous awards such as Compact Hatchback Car of the Year and the People’s Choice Award at the NST Car of the Year 2014, Best Industrial Design 2015 by Intellectual Property Corporation, Most Affordable 5-Star ASEAN NCAP Car in Malaysia at the ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Award 2016 and Budget Car Of The Year at the 2016 ASEAN Car of The Year Awards.

Proton continues succeeding the safety aspects of their customers and being the most affordable 5-star ASEAN NCAP Car in the region, the Proton Iriz for all variants come fully loaded with active and passive safety features.
