BMW Malaysia sales performance has faired well through the first quarter of the year, with 1,729 units of BMW, MINI and Motorrad deliveries. The GST hype didn’t prevent BMW Malaysia from slashing car prices across its diverse ranges. As a matter of fact, the Group announced that the prices of all BMW and MINI vehicles are lowered by up to 1.9% and BMW Motorrads gets a bigger slash of 18 percent across the board. It is BMW Malaysia’s intentions to transfer the benefits gained from the implementation of the GST to its customers.
At the BMW World, the BMW 218i in standard and Luxury line and the X6 SAV made their anticipated debut in the country. The new MINI JCW (John Cooper Works) in race-inspired two-tone hue leads the MINI line-up at BMW World, which also include the Cooper 5-door and Cooper Countryman.
For BMW Motorrad, BMW World introduces a couple of new motorcycles in the form of the BMW S 1000 RR and the new BMW R 1200 R. The inaugural exhibit also saw the premieres of the BMW Concept Roadster motorbike and 328 Hommage two-door coupe in the country.
The BMW 218i standard is retailed at RM 218,800.00 and the Luxury line goes for RM 248,800.00. The BMW X6 xDrive35i and i8 go for RM 718,800.00 and RM 1,188,800.00 (inclusive of BMWi wallbox). MINI JCW has a price tag of RM 288,888.00, while the Cooper 5-Door and Cooper Countryman are tagged RM 188,888.00 and RM 198,888.00, respectively. Lastly, BMW Motorrad S 1000 RR is RM 108,900.00, and BMW R 1200 R carries a RM 91,900.00 price tag.
