Mazda is set to unveil its first ever Electric Vehicle at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. This Electric Vehicle (EV) from Mazda comes with a mass-production battery. The Hiroshima-based company didn’t reveal the name of its EV, however. The 2019 Tokyo Motor Show is running from 23 October until 4 November.

All that were revealed in their press statement include the EV is a completely new model and it’s the third installment in Mazda’s new-generation line-up.  Developed in accordance with Mazda’s human-centric philosophy and making full use of the benefits of electric drive technology, it offers performance drivers can enjoy effortlessly and whole-heartedly.

Alongside the EV are current line-ups like the MX-5 Roadster 30th Anniversary Japanese edition, the Mazda3 (Sedan/Hatchback), the CX-30, CX-5 and CX-8. Coincidentally, the CX-8 will soon debut in Malaysia, courtesy of Mazda Malaysia.

 The Mazda MX-5 Japanese edition is essentially the 30th Anniversary celebrating three decades of the world’s most beloved Roadster. The 30th Anniversary MX-5 will certainly capture attention at the show with its bright Racing Orange hue. This color is inspired from the Yelow MX-5 Club Racer showed at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show, when the then 1st-gen MX-5 made its very first public appearance.

Among the profound features for the special edition MX-5 are the Rays gunmetal wheels with Brembo calipers, 16-inch wheels for the Japanese-spec or 17-inch for others, 30th Anni. emblem on the Japanese-spec, and Recaro seats with orange stitching and piping. As a special edition, the MX-5 Racing Orange also gets Bilstein dampers and BOSE Premium Audio System.

An array of Mazda’s best SUVs

The CX-30, first premiered at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, is Mazda’s second Compact SUV after the CX-5.  Like its elder sibling, the CX-30’s got an elegant styling that embodies Mazda‘s Kodo design language. The SUV is packed with user-friendly features and a cabin that comfortably seats four. Furthermore, the CX-30 was designed to be easy to drive. This SUV is fitted with Mazda’s Skyactiv-Vehicle Architecture and offered with the latest Skyactiv engines: Skyactiv-X, Skyactiv-G and Skyactiv-D.
