Set to be unleashed in the next few days, the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo by Pininfarina, powered by passion and technology, has its first teaser images released. The sneak peak of the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo Pininfarina shows a car that not only provides pure passion and adrenaline but is also be forgiving and safe for drivers of all skill levels. The world premiere is set for the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March.
With the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo, Fittipaldi Motors presents the first of a series of cars born from the mind of iconic world champion driver and 2 time Indy 500 winner, Emerson Fittipaldi. His sole mission was to apply all his track knowledge on creating a new experience that will elevate the driving ability of all super car enthusiasts from around the world. The car is being developed in collaboration with Pininfarina and HWA, and will also be available in the Gran Turismo series, the Sony PlayStation racing franchise.
Spurred by the Motor racing legend, the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismot showcases a body that is made from carbon fiber, giving it a unique advantage on the track in terms of both speed and creating a safety capsule around driver and passenger.
“What was important to me in creating the EF7 is that the car not only provides pure passion and adrenaline but will also be forgiving and safe for drivers of all skill levels,” said Fittipaldi from Monaco where he is attending the Laureus Sports Awards.
As such, the EF7 will be super lightweight (around 1000kgs), meaning that speed in the straightway and nibble and quickness to enter & exit corners will be extraordinary while safety standards, enhanced by the strength of carbon fiber, are of the highest possible consideration.
Fittipaldi also revealed that the powerful V8 normal aspirated engine, with over 600 hp, will give a powerful but progressive acceleration. Both engine and gearbox are “Fittipaldi” single manufacturer-made and seamlessly integrated, while their low design and position on the car creates a unique center of gravity.
“Owner-drivers can expect reliability, lower maintenance cost and minimal mechanic and tech teams – which means more time and elation on the track,” added Fittipaldi.
The Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo by Pininfarina will be presented on 7 March at the Geneva International Motor Show on the Pininfarina stand.
