Research company Frost & Sullivan picked the Ford Ranger as the Pick-up of the Year at its Best Practices Awards, recently. The Ford Ranger obviously is the only model still active in Ford Malaysia’s (Sime Darby Auto Connexion) line-up.
As one of the most recognizable trucks in the country, the Ranger beat major competitors in the category. The criteria which made the Ranger stood out were growth, market share, marketing strategy, selling points and key competitive advantages. “The Ranger has proven in many ways to be the industry benchmark in the pickup truck segment. Improved efficiency, refinement and a range of smart new technologies have really helped to further widen the Ranger’s appeal in Malaysia,” commented Syed Ahmad Muzri Syed Faiz, Managing Director of SDAC.
The Ranger has of course garnered ample recognition domestically from media channels such as; Best Pickup, Pickup Truck of the Year, Gold award, People’s choice and Editor’s choice.
