New Honda NSX Honda Motor China premiered two SUVs at the ongoing Auto China, the all-new Acura CDX and Honda Avancier. Both Acura CDX and Honda Avancier are deemed the top-of-the-line models in China. Aside from the two SUVs, Honda brought out the new, 10th-generation Civic, which was introduced on 12 April in the PRC, and the elusive Acura NSX.

The new Acura CDX is a compact SUV model designed primarily for the Chinese market. This model realizes a high-level fusion of emotional and sharp styling design based on the Acura Precision Concept, a concept styling model of Acura, as well as innovative technologies in the areas of both driving and environmental performance and excellent utility unique to SUV models.

For the first time among all Acura models sold in China, the new CDX adopts a 1.5-liter turbo engine and 8DCT which realizes a powerful driving experience. This SUV will be produced at the ZengCheng Plant in Guangzhou and is scheduled to go on sale in July.

Honda’s top-bred SUV

The new Avancier was developed as Honda’s new flagship SUV model in China, which features a spacious cabin and high-quality driving experience. For the first time among all models sold by Honda in China, Avancier is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine that realizes a dynamic driving experience.

The Honda Avancier is equipped with the Honda SENSING suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies. Adopting such advanced technologies of Honda, the new Avancier SUV will provide customers with further enhanced joy of mobility. The new Avancier is expected to go on sale before the end of 2016.

Visitors to the Auto China should miss the Acura NSX. The NSX is incorporated with new twin-turbocharged mid-mounted V6 engine, mounted on a lightweight vehicle body, alongside the Sport Hybrid SH-AWD (Super Handling All Wheel Drive), the 3-motor hybrid system which realizes excellent driving performance and fuel economy at the same time. This supercar enables the driver to experience exceptional handling and cornering capability by controlling the driving force of all four wheels.

The Chinese market introduction of the Acura NSX is currently scheduled to be around Autumn/Fall.
