Honda’s first all-electric car, the Honda e is set for debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The Honda e to be displayed at the IAA is a mass produced unit.

MASS PRODUCTION HONDA E REVEALED AND SET TO DEBUT AT FRANKFURT

The Honda e is bound to make 100% of European automobile sales electrified by 2025.

In looks, the Honda e has clean external limes, accentuated by the Side Camera Mirror System; which replaces regular side mirrors. The camera technology, a first in the compact segment, brings significant benefits for styling, safety, aerodynamics and refinement. At the side, the car is smooth looking and has pop-out door handles for a seamless look.

Inside, the Honda e features a next-generation five screen full-width digital dashboard and connected infotainment system. There are dual 12.3-inch LCD touchscreens, a simple clean cabin and a host of premium materials. In addition, there’s Personal Assistant and A.I. for connected services and communication. The unique Honda Personal Assistant is activated by saying, “OK Honda”, followed by the question or instruction. Meantime, My Honda+ smartphone application allows user to stay connected to the car. With the app and a digital key, the user could lock and unlock the car easily.

Honda’s first electric car runs on a high-power electric motor available with two power outputs of 100 kW (136ps) or 113kW (154ps), and impressive torque of 315 Nm. The 35.5kWh battery is one of the most compact in its class yet delivers a range of up to 220 km from a single charge. A fast-charging capability also allows recharge to 80% capacity in 30 minutes. A sprint from 0 – 100 km/h is targeted at 8 seconds.

The Honda e will go on sale in few European countries, after the debut at the IAA.
