Hyundai Tucson bags ABC’s Best Car of the Year accolade

Hyundai Tucson wins ABC Best Car of The Year 2016 The Hyundai Tucson has been cast as ABC’s ‘Best Car of the Year’ 2016; one of the most recognizable automotive award in Spain. The ‘Best Car of the Year’ is organized by the ABC newspaper and winner is selected by a juror committee of 37 Spanish journalists from various media, newspapers, magazines, television, radio and agencies.

The most important factors for winning the award are exterior and interior design, reliability, performance, security, and its market significance in Spain. The award highlights the overall quality, five-year warranty with unlimited kilometers and five years of roadside assistance of the 2016 Hyundai Tucson.

“Winning this award is a huge achievement and recognition for Hyundai Motor in terms of technology, design, and quality. the 2016 Hyundai Tucson meets the demand of customers for leisure and recreational activities and Hyundai Motor’s commitment towards eco-friendliness,” said Leopoldo Satrustegui, Managing Director of Hyundai Motor España. “It’s a major step forward for Hyundai Motor in Spain and Europe,” he added.

The 2016 Hyundai Tucson is designed and developed in Europe at Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center in Germany, and manufactured in Europe at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech.

Here’s a snippet of the recent launch of the locally-assembled Hyundai Tuscon for the domestic market: In its third generation, the Hyundai Tucson has been built from ground up as an urban compact SUV, a fundamental shift while striving to maintain the SUV’s global reputation and exceptional quality.

The compact SUV from Hyundai takes up the Korean marque’s design philosophy of Fluidic Sculpture 2.0, which indicates the schematics for both the interior and exterior. For the domestic market, the Hyundai Tucson is only available in a 2WD Nu 2.0 MPI engine with two trim levels: Elegance and Executive. The Elegance retails at an introductory price of RM125,311.51 while the Executive retails at an introductory price of RM138,925.68. Price for both versions are expected to increase by RM3,000 from January 2016.
