2017Hyundai Elantra Sport
Hyundai Motor U.S.A. has introduced the new Hyundai Elantra Sport for its targeted audience who prefers a few unique specifications, both on the exterior and interior. The new Hyundai Elantra Sport is deemed the most powerful Elantra model ever, thanks to a variety of important powertrain, chassis and styling upgrades over the current SE, Eco, and Limited models.

The Elantra Sport is powered by a 1.6 Turbo GDI four-cylinder engine generating more than 200 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque. Drivers may choose between a six-speed manual transmission or seven-speed Dual Clutch Transmission with paddle shifters.

Helping to ensure the most powerful Elantra ever is also the most fun to drive, the Sport is exclusively outfitted with an independent multi-link rear suspension designed to elevate on-road dynamics and feel.

Finally, Elantra Sport is visually differentiated with unique bodywork and model-specific interior appointments such as a flat-bottomed steering, sport seats and red contrast stitching.

The Sport, based on the current Elantra model, incorporates Hyundai’s signature hexagonal grille at the front to project a distinctive character when combined with its modern lighting signatures such as; HID headlights with Dynamic Bending Lights and LED DRLs. Other highlights shared with the regular Elantra include a lower front fascia that integrates functional front wheel air curtains, underbody covers, an aerodynamic rear bumper, bottom spoiler and rear deck lid.

In addition, the Elantra Sport features a sleek bodyside character line that accentuates a sweeping side window silhouette and striking side profile; much like the current Elantra variants. Available premium features such as alloy wheels, LED door handle approach lights, side mirror LED turn signal indicators and LED taillights add a level of sophistication and detail to this class-above compact sedan.

The Hyundai Elantra Sport will arrive in U.S. showrooms in the fourth quarter of the year. Additional details, including full specifications and pricing, will be available closer to the on-sale date.
