Jaguar teases the world with the new E-Pace, ahead of global debut

Jaguar has previewed the new E-PACE compact performance SUV, prior to its global premiere on 13 July.

Joining Jaguar’s PACE family of performance SUVs, the E-PACE follows on from the successful F-PACE, which helped boost Jaguar’s sales by 83 per cent last year, and the all-electric I-PACE Concept which will go into production in 2018. The F-PACE has also garnered the World Car of the Year for 2017. Jaguar I-PACE concept electric performance SUV, on the other hand, was revealed in November 2016 and production plans are scheduled for next year.

In overall sales, Jaguar’s tally between January until May has increased by 65 percent, which represented 79,895 units globally

The Jaguar E-PACE features sports car-derived AWD technology and an all-Ingenium line-up of petrol and diesel engines, as well as a suite of connected technology and safety features. “The combination of sports car looks with Jaguar performance will ensure that the E-PACE stands out. Every Jaguar is designed to excite the senses, and we think E-PACE will do just that, albeit with its own individual character.” Ian Callum, Jaguar”s Director of Design, said.

In looks, the E-PACE should share some of the F-PACE’s impressionable front grille, muscular bonnet, slim LED headlights and short overhangs. The E-PACE’s obviously bears a Crossover styling with taut shoulder lines, a low-sloping silhouette and large wheel arches. From the rear, we’d expect the E-PACE to be distinguished by slender rear LED lights, a shark-fin antenna, elongated tailgate and a super slim bumper.

Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia distributes the F-PACE in two variants: the F-Pace Prestige at RM RM598,800 and the higher-spec R-Sport at RM658, 800; all excluding insurance and additional charges.

Jaguar’s design heritage

Jaguar’s heritage of elegant design and breath taking performance has excited and delighted the world for over 80 years. Today’s world-class Jaguar family embodies The Art of Performance, with the remarkable, much admired and award-winning XE, XF and XJ saloons, the dramatic F-Type sports car and the F-PACE performance crossover – the fastest-selling Jaguar ever.
