Two engine options at the start of the K4 Sedan’s production, and a turbo charged option, later
There are two engine options for the new Kia K4 sedan at the moment: both ‘Nu’ gasoline engines in 1.8-liter and 2.0-liter variations. The 1.8-liter engine generates 143 ps and 176 Nm of torque, while the larger 2.0-liter unit gives drivers up to 155 ps and 192 Nm. Both are paired with Kia’s six-speed automatic transmission to offer fully automatic or sequential manual gear selection. Kia’s did say a third engine option in the form of a 1.6-liter turbocharger T-GDI, paired to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, would be valid when the variant moves up in its lifecycle. The K4 sedan’s turbo gasoline engine is said to generate 176 ps and 265 Nm.
Safety features are packed in for the K4 sedan, including six air bags, VSM (Vehicle Stability Management), TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), and plenty more.
