Lexus Experience is intensified at the newest Showroom in Ipoh

Lexus Malaysia has established its seventh dealership in the Northern City of Ipoh, located at Kuala Kangsar Road. Avidly known as Lexus Ipoh, the new luxury car dealership in the second largest northern city is the second showroom initiated by UMW Toyota Motor, the brand’s stewards. Prior to Lexus Ipoh, UMW Toyota Motor had opened a new dealership in Kuching, Sarawak in June.

The Lexus Malaysia story began when UMW Toyota Motor first established the Lexus marque in 2007 as the premier premium, luxury car marque in the domestic market. During the year, Lexus Malaysia introduced the Lexus LS and GS variants at its very first dealership in the Mutiara Damansara vicinity. In just eight years, Lexus Malaysia have established up to 8 outlets throughout the country, with the latest dealership on the rise in Malacca by Q4 2014. Six new Lexus variants have been introduced up to date, with annual sales increasing from a mere 200 units in 2007 to more 1,300 units in the past four years. In total, Lexus M’sia has delivered more than 6,500 units, largely thanks to the CT 200 Hybrid variant during its heydays. For the year, Lexus aims to deliver approximately 1,400 units of the existing range.

The Lexus Ipoh dealership is a ventureship between UMW Toyota Motor and Telagamas Motors; a business partnership of a decade. Telegamas Motors has been an influential partner for UMW Toyota Motor in the Northern States, having established a Lexus dealership in Penang in 2010. Prior to the Lexus dealerships, Telegamas Motors had started two Toyota dealerships in Kulim and Tanjung Malim in 2007.

Dato’ Ismet Suki, President of UMW Toyota Motor, remarked, “Lexus Malaysia has invested close to RM90 million in expanding our network with the introduction of several outlets beginning with Lexus Mutiara Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, Sungai Besi, Penang, Johor, Kuching, Ipoh and next on our list is Malacca. Lexus Malacca is due to be launched in the final quarter of the year.”

Customers are guaranteed the Lexus Experience at the new Lexus Ipoh dealership, ran under the stewardship of Telegasmas Motors. Telegamas Motors has invested approximately RM 15 million on the Lexus Ipoh venture, according to its official spokesperson. The Lexus Ipoh showroom boutique is a sight to behold! On the exterior of the premises, there’s rose wood furnishings on the outer structure and the inner wall of the showroom. The wood furnishings simply add a sense of class and essence of luxury that are well implied to the Lexus marque.

Furthermore, the new Lexus premises comprise a double-story building that is built on a 30,000sq ft vicinity. The showroom features a mezzanine floor, a roof top stockyard and the state of the art exhibition area (up to four Lexus variants can be displayed at any one time). Meanwhile, a service center at the rear end of the showroom offers up to four bays for simultaneous services and technical updates.

The Lexus Ipoh showroom boutique is located at 91, Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman (Jalan Kuala Kangsar) in Ipoh, Perak. For further information, contact Lexus’ Toll-free Line at 1800 88 LEXUS (53987) or visit
