Lexus LX 570 main Lexus Malaysia continues to introduce new variants despite the downtrend situation in the country. The latest Lexus on showcase is none other than the LX 570, deemed the final variant for 2015. More recently, Lexus Malaysia had unveiled the RX Premium/Luxury mid-sized SUV. The NX and ES are the other two new variants introduced by Lexus Malaysia, this year.

From the domestic market perspective. the Lexus LX 570 is skewed towards the rising demand for large SUV, especially for the premium/luxury segment. The fully imported Lexus LX 570 was first announced in the U.S.A. in August this year.

The Lexus LX 570 incorporates a host of new exterior elements and updated features. As an extensively redesigned variant, the LX 570 picks up plenty of new updates like door panels and body elements to evoke ‘Powerfulness’, fitting for Lexus’ flagship SUV. Though the LX 570 is a large vehicle measuring 5000 mm in length and almost 2000 mm in width, its shape does not convey ‘massiveness’, thanks to the sharper side design. ‘Sleek’ may not seem appropriate for such a vehicle but it still has good aerodynamics to enhance vehicle drivability.

While expressing ‘powerfulness’, the interior of the Lexus LX 570 takes up a plush cabin that features a triple-linkage multimedia system (12.3-inch touchscreen, Head-Up Display and 4.2-inch TFT Color Display in the center of the instrument cluster), an Arm Rest Control panel, 4-zone air-conditioning system and more.

The LX 570 is powered by the 3UR-FE engine which, at 5.7 liters, is the largest engine in Lexus’ line-up. It has a V8 configuration with advanced Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (Dual VVT-i). The engine, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, is tuned to make maximum use of the displacement with a strong flat torque characteristic from low speeds. At its peak output, the engine generates 362 hp with 530 Nm of torque and can accelerate the vehicle from standstill to 100 km/h in just 7.7 seconds.

A new feature of the drivetrain is the Integrated Drive Mode which manages the powertrain, chassis elements and air conditioning for optimum performance in different conditions. The LX 570 uses a robust transfer case to provide full-time 4-wheel drive. The system uses a TORSEN limited-slip locking center differential (LSD) to distribute power 40:60 front-to-rear, directing more power to the wheels with the best grip should slippage occur.

As a flagship SUV, the Lexus LX 570 does include an elaborated range of advanced technologies and safety equipment. Among the prominent mentions are; the Multi-Terrain Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) with the Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) system, full-color reverse camera, just to name a few.

The Lexus LX 570 is available in six body hues and two interior schemes and goes for a starting price of RM 923,960.66, minus insurance.
