Lexus is set to unveil the UX Concept on 29 September at the Paris Motor Show, alongsode the updated Lexus IS, Lexus LC Coupe and NX Sport Edition. The Lexus UX Concept is created at the brand’s European Design Centre (ED2) and carries a bold design language that points to the way forward.
A glance at the UX Concept Crossover SUV offers a strongly differentiated identity that is meant to appeal to a progressive, urban audience living in a connected environment. The UX Concept also showcases imaginative technologies for an immersive driver experience, while the interior marries traditional craftsmanship with high-tech manufacturing techniques.
Like the recognizable current Lexus SUVs, the UX Concept takes on extreme flared fenders to denote its off-road purposes, as well as a raked roofline and larger-than-life wheels. Still in it concept stage, the UX resembles the Lexus NX the closest; the NX previously debut as a concept and went into production without much changes. The exterior of the UX Concept provides ample sweet curves and angles, much like its elder sibling, the NX. Regardless, the UX is expected to offer a strong push in the popular crossover segment in the near future.
In the rear quarter view of the UX concept, the crossover has a low-sloping silhouette and sculpted rear structure. The rear takes up elongated rear LED lights and the unmistakable roof spoiler to showcase its dynamic side. The rear bumper is tucked in with the skid plate, along with the rectangle-shaped exhausts. The front is definitely made up of Lexus’ signature spindle grille, recognizable front fascia and very trendy front LED lights.
Moving to the inside, the UX concept should be instilled with the latest and absolute best driver experience and technologies Lexus has to offer. For premium interior refinements and materials, the UX concept obviously comes with Lexus’ renowned craftsmanship with high-tech manufacturing techniques. Lexus has offered a glimpse of the interior of the UX concept with a hint of an all-digital interior, wood and carbon fiber combination trimmings and certain plush elements.
