MAA announces inaugural MyAuto Fest

DSC_0013_resize MAA (Malaysian Automotive Association) has announced the MyAuto Fest 2016, to be held from 20 – 22 May at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Center (MIECC). The MyAuto Fest is an initiative between MAA and its members to spur the diminishing automotive sales in the country.

The 3-day MyAuto Fest Sales Carnival already have the support of major car marques, namely Honda Malaysia, UMW Toyota Motor, Peugeot (Nasim), Citroen (Naza Euro Motor), Nissan Malaysia (ETCM), Volvo Cars, Ford Malaysia (SDAC), Jaguar Land Rover, Subaru Malaysia (Motor Image), Daihatsu Malaysia and Proton Edar. The organizers expect further participation from other prominent marques nearer to the event date. “The organizing committee is aggressively promoting the MyAuto Fest to encourage more MAA members and auto related and accessory companies to partake in this inaugural sales carnival or sales promotion platform,” Dato’ Aishah Ahmad shared.

The MyAuto Fest will run in conjunction with the upcoming major festive occasion in the country, the Hari Raya. Thereby, the event is considered a feasible platform for auto and related companies to hype up their ‘Raya’ sales campaigns and promotions. Subsequently, the organizers are fervently discussing with major financial institutions and banks to partake in the MyAuto Fest.

For visitors, the MyAuto Fest is expected to offer great and plenty of one-of-a-kind deals over the 3-day period at the MIECC. And the best thing is, there would be no entry fees or entrance ticket required to visit the MyAuto Fest. “We have decided not to charge an entrance fee because we want buyers and visitors to bring their families along to jazz up the event,” Aishah remarked.

The organizers have also arranged plenty of food and beverage stands, as well as fun activities and games for visitors in an air-conditioned setting. Besides food and beverage stands, there are lifestyle booths on health, fashion and fitness products.

Visitors also get ample opportunities to test drive their targeted and dream cars throughout the duration of the MyAuto Fest. The test drive venue at the MIECC is a spacious area where visitors and potential buyers can feel safe and secured, at all times. There won’t be problems with parking as the MIECC and the neighboring Mines shopping mall have ample parking space.

The organizers have already conducted a ballot for booths amongst its members and confirmed participants on 23 March. Another balloting for test drive allocations is scheduled to be conducted on 20 April.

MAA targets the inaugural MyAuto Fest event to attract some 75,000 people over the weekend. For further details, contact MAA at 03 78439947.
