Domestic Maserati distributors Naza Italia has announced the availability of the new Ghibli and Ghibli S. The new Maserati Ghibli range has previously made its official debut at the Paris Motor Show, two months ago.

The Maserati Ghiblis are offered in Luxury and Sports packages for the domestic market with the price starting from RM 618,800 for the Ghibli and RM 708,800 for the Ghibli S.

In looks, one cannot help but identify it as a Pure Maserati thanks to the signature coupé-like philosophy and unique features, for example the distinctive c-pillar that bears the iconic “Saetta” logo, the frameless doors, the pronounced grille reminiscent of iconic Maseratis of the 1950’s, and the four chrome-plated exhaust pipes.

In addition, the Ghibli Luxury and Sport packages personalize the exterior finish and create a focused environment for the driver and passengers.

With the adoption of the Luxury package, the Ghibli’s cabin is even more refined thanks to the Zegna Edition Silk and Premium Leather upholstery. The Sport package instead reflects the legendary racing heritage of every Maserati and is immediately recognizable thanks to the new sports seats and sports steering wheel with aluminium shift paddles.

Two Carbon packages, one with exterior and the other with interior elements, are now available as a further customization option and an upgrade for the Sport package. Other interior offerings include a redesigned central dashboard and a high-res 8.4-inch touchscreen display that provides multi-touch technology and connectivity options.

Furthermore, significant improvements in noise insulation and reduced cabin noise have been achieved on the new Ghibli. And to further better passenger comfort, an Air Quality Sensor is now standard equipment for both Ghiblis.

In terms of the engine, both petrol versions, the Ghibli and Ghibli S, feature the acclaimed, Ferrari built, Euro 6, Twin-Turbo 3.0-liter V6 powerplant paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, which features the Start&Stop function. The Ghibli now delivers 350 hp, 20 hp more than the previous model year, an increased top speed of 267 km/h, and a 0 to 100 km/h time of just 5.5 seconds. Meantime, the S version churns an output of 410 hp and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.0 seconds. The Maserati Ghibli S can top off at 285 km/h.

From a technological standpoint, a new package of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is available which includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Blind Spot Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning with Advanced Brake Assist, and Automated Emergency Braking. An additional Surround View Camera is available in combination with the ADAS package.

The Ghibli shares parts of its core architecture; chassis, suspension layout, V6 engines and ZF 8-speed automatic transmission; with the Quattroporte. The Ghibli is, however, 293 mm shorter and 50 kg lighter than the flagship Maserati.

Dynamic and precise handling is guaranteed by the car’s perfectly balanced 50:50 weight distribution, while the sophisticated suspension system and the standard limited slip differential make every ride even more enjoyable. On a more important note, the Ghibli line-up is obviously a 5-star rated Euro NCAP recipient.

The 2017 Ghibli and Ghibli S are available starting from RM 618,800.00 and RM 708,800.00 respectively, including a 3 years/60,000km service package. The price includes local duties and taxes.
