In conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebrations, Mazda Malaysia held a gathering for the media and guests at its headquarters in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, last Friday. The highlight of the CNY celebrations was none other than the All-new Mazda CX-8, previewed for the first time in Malaysia.

First appeared at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, the New Mazda CX-8 is a three-row crossover SUV. The New CX-8 is already on sale in Japan and China, predominantly.

According to Mazda Malaysia, there are two variants of the New CX-8 for the Malaysian market: a Petrol version and a turbodiesel variant. Both are locally-assembled to keep to an effective cost and final retail pricing. Actual price of the New CX-8 will be revealed closer to the launch date in the second quarter.

What’s the buzz about Mazda’s Newest Flagship model

The New CX-8 is slated to be the flagship model in Mazda’s SUV range. As a crossover SUV with three rows of seating, it represents a people-moving car.

The New CX-8 features the full suite of SKYACTIV technology and a trendy design, courtesy of Mazda’s KODO design language.

As most current Mazda models, the i-ACTIVSENSE advanced safety technologies will be the main fixture for the New CX-8. Notable i-ACTIVSENSE highlights include driver recognition, new 360° View Monitor and many more.

Mazda CX-8: Designed to be appeasing

As with the famed KODO design, the New CX-8 has the depth and maturity fit for Mazda’s flagship SUV. Class and quality are the epitome of the SUV as well. For the interior, the New CX-8 has that premium-feel, thanks to the attention to details and material choice, as well as color options. As with the previous CX-7 and CX-9 models, Mazda knows a thing or two about premium SUVs.

Mazda Malaysia will roll out the New CX-8 in the second quarter of the year.  Stay tuned…
