Boasting a more refined KODO – Soul of Motion design, the new Mazda CX-8 resembles the CX-9 rather closely with sleek motifs and sporty proportions. Like the CX-9, the new CX-8 offers an impressive high-end feel and performance to boot. As the new flagship SUV in the line-up for the Japanese market, the CX-8 provides a classy impression to go with an interior comprising elements such as high-quality materials and refined color tones.
At the time of its official launch, the interior of the CX-8 is expected to be finished with quality craftsmanship, as well as infused with the latest in multimedia system, Mazda’s i-ACTIVSENSE suite, a premium audio and navigation system, interesting decorative trims and panels, and an organized center stack with new meter illumination, much like the outgoing CX-9.
The new CX-8 will be powered by a SKYACTIV-D 2.2 new-generation clean diesel engine, with output figures close to the specification of the CX-9. The engine is paired to a SKYACTIV-Drive 6-Speed automatic transmission.
