Mercedes AMG GT R Roadster is the latest variant of the impressive AMG GT line-up that really needs no further introduction. The emphasis about the Roadster is an expressive open-top design with active aerodynamics to address a new, lifestyle-oriented target group which lives life to the full. Powered by a 585 hp V8 4.0-liter Bi-turbo, the GT R Roadster pushes 700 Nm easy between 2100 – 5500 rpm. It does 0 – 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, with top speed marginally higher at 317 km/h. Power is transferred to the wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission configured in transaxle layout at the rear axle.

At the front, the Roadster has low-slung front section, a forward-inclined AMG-specific radiator grille giving it a “ shark nose” impression. The AMG GT R Roadster’s interior design echoes the design lines of the exterior. The dashboard places a firm emphasis on width, creating an impression of a powerful wing. The driver is integrated into the cockpit thanks to the high beltlines, the door trims with their concave design, the dynamically rising center console and the low seat position.
