Mercedes-Benz B 200 Progressive Line and GLA 200 Style introduced

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has announced two new updated variants for the local Premium market, the B 200 Progressive Line and GLA 200 Style.

The B-Class gets more progressive

For 2019, the Mercedes-Benz B-Class B 200 gets the Progressive Line, to depict it as more functional and sporty. New items are tne radiator grille with silver-painted twin louvre and chrome insert, front apron with chrome insert, side sill panels and 18-inch 5-twin spoke light-alloy wheels,

From the rear, the width of the vehicle is accentuated by two-part lights, reflectors integrated in the bumper and a distinctive black bumper bottom section with diffuser look and chrome trim strip. The large roof spoiler, along with high-gloss black spoilers at the sides of the rear window, makes for improved aerodynamics while ensuring a sporty appearance.

The B200 Progressive comes with a 1.3-liter turbo for an output of 163 hp and maximum torque of 250 Nm.

Inside, the cabin has a wrap-around effect which sweeps seamlessly from the dashboard, center console and around into the doors. The seats comprise ARTICO leather in black. At the center console, there’s a touch-based control and input system in a black panel look, while the ambient lighting has ten color worlds to choose from, it is unique in this segment. The Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) multimedia system gives high resolution display, navigation, and can be activated by voice.

Some of core assistance systems for the 2019 B200 include Blind Spot Assist and Active Brake Assist. The B200 Progressive Line retails from RM 239,888.

Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 Style

The Mercedes-Benz GLA is the brand’s sub-compact SUV. For 2019, the Style Line added to the GLA 200 entails a highgloss chrome on radiator in matt silver, 18-inch 5-twin-spoke wheels, additional inserts, beltline trim strip and sill guard in chrome finish. .

The GLA 200 Style is powered by a new 1.6l turbo to produce 156 hp and torque of 250Nm. It complements with the 7G-DCT transmission that keeps the turbo engine’s power on point.

On the inside, the seats feature ARTICO man-made leather and Macapá fabric. The GLA 200 Style comes with smartphone integration, projected onto the 8.0-inch media display.

To make driving fun, the GLA 200 has various vehicle settings which are activated via the Dynamic Select switch in the upper control panel.

In addition to the safety and assistance package is the Attention Assist, Active Brake PRE-SAFE® system, Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC and LED High Performance headlights.

Available at showrooms, the GLA 200 Style retails for RM 223,888.
