Mercedes-Benz Malaysia yesterday put forth the locally-assembled C 43 and GLC 43 models. Both models offer that luxury appeal combined with AMG racing pedigree, within the AMG 43 series line-up.

Kicking off the newest model in the 43 series line-up is the C 43, which comes with an AMG Line exterior with high gloss black and silver chrome fixtures and that “BITURBO 4MATIC” badge, resembling the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC. In a nutshell, the sports car’s highlights include detachable body parts, trim in high-gloss black, two tailpipe trim elements in a twin-tailpipe design, and an AMG spoiler lip, as well as 19-inch AMG 5-spoke light-alloy wheels painted in high-gloss black with a high-sheen finish.

Inside, it’s all about the authentic sports car atmosphere. The outstanding features are the multifunction sports steering wheel with flattened bottom section, sports seats with enhanced lateral support and an exclusive AMG instrument cluster with AMG menu.

Powered by an able 3.0l V6, you can expect 270 kW (367 hp) and 520 Nm of torque. Shift times are a lot quicker thanks to 9-speed transmission. Drive modes available are Eco, Comfort, Manual, Sport and Sport Plus.

When it comes to driving dynamics, the C 43 4MATIC offers the optimum conditions for high driving dynamics and outstanding comfort on long journeys thanks to the standard-fit AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension.

The Mercedes C 43 comes in at a price tag of RM 408,888, while the GLC 43 goes for RM 468,888.

 

 

 

 

Mercedes GLC 43 4MATIC

Alongside the C 43, the GLC 43 4MATIC made its debut with almost identical specifications as the sedan model.

The GLC 43 is decked in silver chrome and high-gloss black features.  Highlights comprise diamond radiator grille with chrome-plated pins, a louvre in high-gloss black with inserts in high-gloss chrome and the AMG lettering, as well as silver chrome front splitter and high-gloss black-painted, high-sheen 21-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels.

Interior-wise, the GLC 43 takes up two large round dials and a central color multifunction display with a 5.5-inch diagonal the AMG instrument cluster. Many interior features from the C 43 are fitted in the GLC 43.

To better agility in the GLC 43, more neutral cornering characteristics and higher traction even in intensive use the Affalterbach developers have designed an autonomous sports suspension on the basis of the AIR BODY CONTROL air suspension.  Lastly, standard-fit all-wheel drive AMG performance 4MATIC is characterized by the rear-biased torque distribution of 31 percent at the front axle to 69 percent at the rear axle.
