Michelin announces annual Tyre Safety Campaign with MSoR Truck Roadshow

Michelin Malaysia today kick-started their annual road safety campaign, Michelin Safe on The Road (MSoR), in tme for the upcoming festive period. The road safety campaign aims at highlighting the importance of tyre maintenance and periodic checks as part of good road safety practices.

For the entire month of May, Michelin experts and staff will be conducting thorough assessments on tyre conditions for the public at various locations throughout Malaysia (see below participating list); This program is initiated by Michelin with the knowledge that accidents on the road occur due to reckless driving but more often than not, it is also caused by vehicle failure due to a lack of maintenance. Tyres are one of the most critical safety parts of a vehicle as it is where braking happens.

As part of the MSoR Truck Roadshow, in-truck road safety education will be provided as well as complimentary tyre checks including air pressure, tread wear and overall tyre condition. Michelin consultants will be on site several locations nationwide from 11 am to 8 pm to evaluate the condition of the tyres and provide valuable advice on how to prolong the lifespan of the tyres. Participating motorists will also be receiving car service voucher with free Petron card worth RM50 when they spend in Michelin Expert Center.

Last year, Michelin successfully conducted 1,100 tyre checks in more than 26 locations nationwide. This year, with the support of its longstanding partners Petron and Tesco as well as the addition of Aeon Big, the MSoR campaign will expand to more locations in the North and South of the Peninsular.

The campaign kicked off at Desa ParkCity today and will begin its tour from 3 – 29 May at petrol stations and hypermarkets nationwide. All venues start from 11 am till 8 pm.
