Despite the current market situation, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official Mitsubishi Motors distributor in Malaysia, announced their financial year to date for 2020. In this announcement, MMM manage to conquer 28% of the market share for the pick-up truck market with the Mitsubishi Triton.
Due to the challenging times, the pick-up market saw a sharp 45% drop in sales for May 2020. Despite the situation, Mitsubishi Triton still manage to achieve a positive growth of 1% compare with 483 units sold compare to the same period last year.
From January to May 2020, the Mitsubishi Triton consistently maintained its market share by 22% or more for five consecutive months, an increased from the same corresponding period of 2019 which was at 17.8%.
