In the year of 2019, the pickup truck segment experienced a 21% downsize due to a challenging economic situation. In spite of this, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) manage to announce a 2.4% year-on-year increase in the sales of the Mitsubishi Triton pickup truck from January-December 2019 with 5,792 units in comparison with the sales figure of 2018.

With the sales growth in 2019, the Mitsubishi Triton further improves its market share by 3.8% to 16.5%. This was contributed by the new Triton that was launch early in 2019 racking in 71.2% of MMM’s overall business.

In the 2019 J.D. Power Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study, MMM is ranked top two which reflected the ownership experience and satisfaction at the authorized service centres.

In January 2019, the company launched the new Triton that incorporates the latest iteration of the ‘Dynamic Shield’ design concept, improved quality, advanced safety features and continued the DNA of the best handling pick-up truck.

Subsequently in November 2019, the company upgraded the range topper, Triton Adventure X and Triton AT Premium to include more accessories offered by all MMM authorized dealers. The company also launched the new Triton Quest and limited edition Triton Knight to complete the Triton line-up.

The Mitsubishi Triton is still the only pick-up offering up to 200,000KM or 5 Years of warranty. Customers will get to travel more mileage with an added peace of mind.
