Naza Kia Malaysia is unveiling the new Kia Rio in its fourth-generation guise on 20 July at one of the most popular Shopping malls in the country, One Utama.

The new Kia Rio which debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show offers B-segment buyers a compelling package. Thanks to the Rio’s progressive new exterior, the outlook of Kia’s newest compact is defined by straight lines and smooth surfaces.

In a nutshell, the new Kia Rio spots the latest evolution of the ‘tiger-nose’ grille, now thinner in height and wider across the front of the car, with a gloss black grille cover.

At the side, the fourth-generation Rio’s lengthened, more balanced stance is achieved with a long bonnet and longer front overhang, a 10 mm longer wheelbase (up to 2,580 mm), a thinner, more upright C-pillar, and a shorter rear overhang. From the rear, the new Rio has a near-vertical windscreen and shorter overhangs. The straight line that runs from the grille, through the headlights and along the top of the doors, continues around the back of the car, paired with thinner, more sculpted rear lights.

Inside, its driver-oriented cabin is also the most spacious in its class. Meantime, a larger, 325-liter cargo capacity (VDA) makes the new Rio a practical choice. Interior highlights are gloss black trim lines at the central section of the dashboard, a ‘floating’ HMI, high-resolution touchscreen, a driver-oriented center console with more ergonomic, concave switches and rotator dials, and a new infotainment system.

The new model is expected to be the most advanced Rio ever, thanks to newly- equipped technologies, safety systems and connectivity features.

As for engine options, the new Kia Rio is offered in petrol and diesel engines; depending on Naza Kia Malaysia’s official confirmation during the launch.
