The Toyota Corolla has been a marquee name since 1966 when it first took off. Up to date, the Corolla has achieved some 47.5 million units sold in over 150 countries. The New Toyota Corolla is scheduled for debut in Malaysia in the fourth quarter.

For 2020, Toyota has infused the New Corolla with a completely fresh design, a host of new technologies,  a TNGA platform and a special body for the Japanese market. The Corolla comes in three variants, Sedan, Touring and Sport. The Touring (Wagon), previously Corolla Axio and Corolla Fielder in Japan, and the Sport version in hatchback are reserved for the Japanese market. There are hybrid versions as well. The New Corollas are being rolled out across dealerships in Japan.

The New Toyota Corolla is all about pursuit of sporty design, a more pleasurable driving experience and responsive handling. To better the hot-selling model, Toyota has equipped the Corolla with the brand’s first Display Audio (DA), again in Japan only. This device is meant for daily use and compatible with smartphones to offer connected services. Next, there’s the latest Toyota Safety Sense, which detects bicycles and pedestrians at night; it’s a standard feature with the New Corolla.

Toyota Corolla Sport

The Corolla Sport came in last June and was one of the first to adopt the TNGA platform. Whereas, the Corolla Sedan and Touring versions are new to the line-up. As a sport version, the Corolla’s styling has a low center of gravity, gives a more fun ride and offers a more  responsive handling. All models come equipped with the latest Toyota Safety Sense to deliver utmost safety.

Toyota has reassessed the grades and some equipment of the conventional Corolla Axio and Corolla Fielder. Both models are currently still distributed in Japan and would eventually be replaced by the Corolla Touring. Toyota aims to supply their favorite model of the people to indivuduals and Corporate customers.
