Honda Malaysia celebrates its 900,000th sales unit achievement with a two day fun-filled festival in Bukit Jalil outdoor carpark.

The main highlight is the presentation of new cars to the 9 winners that walkaway with 9 different new Hondas. The 1st 2 winners who won the Civic and HR-V have been announce before the Grand Finale. The remaining 7 winners are announced during the Grand Finale event.

The 9 lucky winners were:

  3. Ms. Nik Siti Nurhidayah Juhan – Honda HR-V Hybrid

  5. Ms. Fong Yee Wern – Honda City Hybrid
  6. Ms. Ee Shi Lin – Honda Jazz
  7. Mr. Chester Lim – Honda BR-V
  8. Mr. Lim Hock Kuang – Honda CR-V
  9. Mr. Muhamad Abdul Hadi bin Junus – Honda Accord

The 900,000th sales unit milestone is an achievement that Honda Malaysia compile over the years since the roll out of the first Completely Knock-Down (CKD) model, the Honda CR-V, back in 2003. The CKD models have contributed the most to Honda Malaysia’s total sales by 95% and 5% is from Completely Built-Up (CBU) models. Overall, the City contributed the highest at 37%, followed by Civic at 15% and CR-V at 11% since the company’s establishment.

In 2013, Honda Malaysia expanded its dealers network nationwide to 98 dealerships in every states and major towns in Malaysia for the customers’ convenience. The 2nd production line was establish in Honda Malaysia’s Pagoh plant in the year 2014 to increase local assembly capacity. Currently Honda Malaysia assembles ten key models; namely Jazz, Jazz Hybrid, City, City Hybrid, Civic, BR-V, HR-V, HR-V Hybrid, CR-V and Accord. From the sales record for January to August 2019, the top three selling models are the City with 33%, followed by the HR-V and CR-V with 18% and 14% contribution respectively.

Keeping up on Honda’s commitment to lead the advancement of mobility, Honda Malaysia aspires to set higher benchmark by introducing the three pillars of Honda’s Next Generation Advanced Technology in Malaysia: Honda SENSING, Turbocharged and Sport Hybrid i-DCD which are well accepted in the Malaysian market. 

During the “Road to 900,000th Unit Milestone Campaign” Grand Finale in Bukit Jalil National Stadium car park, Honda previewed the soon-to-be launched, sporty and stylish New Civic, as well as other Honda models. 

There are plenty of fun event for adults and children, such as 380 feet-long Giant Water Slide for thrill seekers, picturesque Insta-Luminous displays, immersive Virtual Reality (VR) Games and scrumptious food from the mini food fair. Visitors can also experience Honda’s Advanced Technology through interactive game activities such as Sport Hybrid i-DCD X-ray Scanner as well as Sport Hybrid i-DCD and VTEC Turbocharged Game Tower.
