|Another automaker who tends to introduce a sporty variant at the annual Super GT Championship is Edaran Tan Chong Motor, Nissan Malaysia. At last week’s Super GT, ETCM uncovered the popular compact and entry-level variant Nissan Almera in the Nismo Performance Package Concept guise.|
This year’s Nissan Almera Nismo Performance package Concept is somewhat more interesting than last year’s X-Gear in Nismo trims. Since the Almera’s debut last year, the compact has been well-received by the entry-level car buyers and the general population due to its favorable design and value-for-money intricacies. To date, ETCM has received bookings of up to 10,000 units or more.
Now imbued with Nismo kits, the Almera Nismo Performance package takes up a more aerodynamically-savvy form that is most evident on the exterior, thanks to these added elements; front and rear bumper spoilers, side skirts, rear spoiler, Nismo 17” wheels, a Nismo exhaust muffler, and less obvious under prying eyes, are the sports suspensions. With the added kits, the Almera in Nismo guise supposedly handles better, has better agility around tight bends and promises a more engaging drive.
The Nissan Almera Nismo Performance package is due fourth quarter of the year. This Nissan Almera Nismo Performance package Concept is a collaboration between Nissan M’sia and Nismo, a partnership that began in 2005. Nismo is no stranger to the world of motorsports and cultivates this latest brand message: “Innovation that Excites”.
