Nissan Juke for Miss SA pageant winner

The 2016 Miss South Africa Pageant winner Ntandoyenkosi Kunene received a Nissan Juke, having won the crown last year. Nissan will again be sponsoring the 2017 Miss SA pageant, and this year’s winner will also get the Nissan Juke as part of the grand prize.

Current Miss South Africa, Ntandoyenkosi Kunene, commented, “The Nissan Juke is one of the best gifts I’ve received as Miss South Africa. It’s very easy to drive and makes parking a lot easier, both because of the park assist and the fact that it offers a bird’s eye view of all sides of the car. It’s an absolute dream on the road.”

Thanks to its dramatic design and advanced technology, the Juke has become the runaway leader of the B-segment crossover sector, especially in Europe. Establishing itself as the original stand-out model in the growing B-segment crossover market with its unique combination of sport and SUV design, the new-generation Juke is ready to once again stamp its authority on the segment it created.

Already recognized as the design trend-setter, the Juke benefits from a series of design enhancements, new engines and technologies and a wide-ranging personalization program. The changes are extensive including; a new design at the front and rear with greater emphasis on both premium refinement and sporty design cues, a panoramic glass roof, downsized DIG-T 115 turbocharged engine/revised DIG-T 190 engine, and the latest audio system with NissanConnect driver-vehicle interface and Safety Shield, plus Nissan’s Dynamic Control system.

In looks, the front-end gets upper lights that have been redesigned to adopt the Nissan’s signature ‘boomerang’ shape with LED DRLs. The headlights are available with Xenon bulbs for better visibility and lens covers. The nose incorporates a more powerful V-shaped grille, while the lower elements have been toughened with the trim beneath the bumper. Door mirrors have been revised to include LED side turn strip repeaters and, where fitted, cameras for the Around View Monitor. From the rear, the bumper has a more aggressive shape to match the boomerang rear lights with LEDs. Colors available comprise ten hues.

A wide range of alloy wheels completes the exterior revisions, with 16-inch steels available on entry-levels and different styles of 17 or 18-inch alloys (with color inserts) on higher variants.

The Juke is the best seller in the premium B-segment, outperforming all direct competitors, including those from the top German brands. Well on its way to over 500,000 sales, the Juke achieved 135,000 sales in 2013 with its popularity set to increase with the introduction of the latest version.
