Nissan Malaysia (ETCM) subsidiary Tan Chong Insurance Business Stream has announced an extended warranty program for owners. The TC Warranty Plus program provides a warranty extension to its regular 3-year warranty for owners and takes effect after the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty period of 3 years or 100,000km (whichever comes first) has lapsed.

TC Warranty Plus comes with 3 extended warranty packages: the EW 150, EW 250 and EW 25 packages. The EW 150 Package warrants an additional two (2) years or 50,000km (whichever comes first). It is an identical coverage to the OEM’s warranty.

 

The EW 200 Package adds four (4) years or 100,000km (whichever comes first) to the original warranty program. The 4th and 5th year coverage is identical to the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty, while 6th and 7th year warrants three (3) components (Engine, Transmission and Steering System).

Lastly, the EW 25 package provides an extended one year or 25,000km or two years, 50,000km for three components comprising the engine, transmission and steering system. This program is applicable for vehicles aged less than five years where the warranty has lapsed or voided.

Say Teck Ming, Senior General Manager of TCIBS, said, “Due to high demand of extended warranty programme after the launch of the 7-year unlimited mileage warranty by ETCM, this new programme offers extra coverage and give owners an added peace of mind with regards to sudden expenses when unforeseen circumstances occur.”

With every registration of the program, customers will enjoy an Early Bird Promotion and are entitled to receive a set of Free Petrol Engine Refresh Kit, valid till 31 October.

Here’s the extended warranty plans for particular models and prices: Almera’s rates RM 998 (EW150) RM 1,588 (EW250) RM 488 (EW 25 1 year) and RM 976 (EW25 2 year); Serena S-Hybrid RM 1,998, RM 2,988, RM 888 and RM 1776; and X-Trail (T32) RM 1,998, RM 2,988, RM 888 and RM 1776.

Additionally, ETCM and TCEAS have announced its expansion for Takata Airbag Inflators Replacement which is held not only at our service networks but also at selected Tesco outlets scheduled as follows: 3 – 24 Sept (10am – 6pm) at Tesco Bandar Bukit Puchong, 30 Sept – 1 Oct at Tesco Extra Klang and 7 – 8 Oct at Tesco Extra Cheras.
