Nissan Malaysia (Edaran Tan Chong Motor) today announced the updated Nissan Urvan NV350 (High Roof). Nissan’s popular commercial model is now available with new safety features.

In efforts to ensure safety for passengers and cargo, for that matter, the 2017 Nissan Urvan picks up manual headlight levelizer, speed limiter and rear Fog light. The purpose of the rear fogs is to improve visibility during night drive, while the speed limiter is installed to adhere to the speed limit regulation in Malaysia of 100km/h for passenger vehicles >12 seater. Also updated is the fuel cap with lock.

As one of the most popular commercial model in Nissan Malaysia’s line-up, the Urvan is fitted with a high-torque 2.5-liter YD25DDTi turbocharged engine with clean-diesel technology. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission to achieve an impressive fuel consumption of 11.2km/l on the Japan JC08 test cycle.

Safety features that are standard with the Nissan Urvan include ABS (Anti-locking Braking System), BA (Brake Assist System), High Mount Stop light and child safety lock. The Urvan is a tough nut to crack as well, thanks to Nissan’s Zone body construction that ensures maximises protection for the occupants in the event of an accident.

The Nissan Urvan has a retail price starting at RM 122,000.00, minus insurance.

 

 

 

In related news, Nissan Malaysia is organizing the third edition of the Nissan Safety campaign and the Nationwide test drive carnival, through the month of September. The safety campaign aims to educate road users on road safety through a series of fun-filled activities. The campaign will take place beginning 16 – 17 September at Nissan showrooms, nationwide.
