With the upcoming Star Wars flick, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Nissan has came up with a world premiere of the Millennium Falcon-themed Rogue Crossover.

“As the third installment of our own trilogy of collaborations with Lucasfilm, we raised the bar delivering our best custom show vehicle yet,” said Jeremy Tucker, Nissan’s vice president of marketing communications and media. “We started with the best-selling Nissan Rogue and worked with the talented concept designers at Lucasfilm and ILM. Then we turned to the experts at Vehicle Effects bring it to life. The result is hands-down the most complete and thrilling vehicle we’ve ever done.”‘

Merging the likeness of the Millennium Falcon with the Nissan Rogue was a natural fit. ProPILOT Assist, a Nissan Intelligent Mobility technology, helps drivers maintain speeds and guide the Rogue “Straight Down the Center.” Similarly, the Millennium Falcon always seems to find its way out of trouble ahead by navigating obstacles with apparent ease.

Star Wars: May the 4th be with you

As recently as 4 May, Star Wars fans around the galaxy celebrate the film franchise, making it the perfect date for Nissan to pay tribute and begin its marketing campaign for “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” in theaters 25 May. The campaign is now officially underway with many options for fans to immerse themselves into the upcoming movie with Nissan’s top-selling model, the Nissan Rogue.

The Nissan Rogue was chosen to be decked out with a Millennium Falcon theme.  The Falcon is the most capable ship in the galaxy, with L3-37 at the helm and Chewbacca as her co-pilot. While Chewie is hesitant of the dicey situation, L3-37 is confident in the ship and her abilities to navigate the path ahead. A similar scenario is carried over to a couple in their Nissan Rogue while on the highway. When the only way is forward, the driver has the confidence to navigate through the path ahead with ProPILOT Assist – straight down the center. All while the sidekick, her dog in the back seat, expresses his concern.

At the same time, Nissan also introduced “Best in the Galaxy” sweepstakes, where fans can virtually customize a Nissan Rogue, Altima or TITAN with design elements from the upcoming movie. Upon completion, they can enter for their chance to win one of many amazing prizes. The grand prize is a custom Star Wars-inspired Nissan (Rogue, Altima or TITAN) and a Nissan-exclusive collectible replica Range Trooper helmet. Additional prize winners will receive the collectible replica helmet.
