Nissan Malaysia is set to reveal the new Teana Nismo Edition this Sunday in the Capital City. The Teana Nismo is based on the new-generation Teana and continues to ride on Nissan’s D platform, applied to the Brand’s mid-size cars.

Giving a more aggressive and dynamic outlook, the Teana Nismo carries the essential Nismo bodykit from the front lip to the rear diffusor. The interior gets a stash of Nismo add-ons particularly on the steering wheel, seats, gearknob and such. The changes applicable to the Teanaa Nismo are not all that much, except for the Nismo modifications.

The Nissan Teana Nismo will most probably be made available with either the 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine with 175 hp or maybe, the 3.5 liter V6 unit with 270 hp. Regardless, Nissan Malaysia will announce very soon.

The Nissan Teana L33, in its third-generation, has arrow-like headlights that replace the older, softer triangular ‘lynx’ headlight design of the previous edition. For the 2.5 XV Teana, auto-leveling headlights with washers are made available for the first time, when first introduced.

In design, a sharper and flatter bonnet line gives a more angular frontal impression. The shoulder lines are extended up and forwards toward the headlights for a more aggressive stance. The slimmer rear design is updated with more contoured rearlights, while the rear door handles are positioned on the same level as the front handles, giving it an uplifting image. In addition, the rear overhang has a more angular presentation compared to the previous generation.

Inside, black leather scheme are fitted for the seats with silver trimmings on the dashboard and door panels. An upgraded cabin overall size and a boot space of 516 liters are some of the Teana’s Best-in-Class features. Relevant interior features include 60:40 split-fold seats, “Zero-Gravity Inspired” seat, 4-inch ADAD (Advanced Drive Assist Display) with 3D between the meters, Dual-zone air-conditioning, Steering with switches, a Push Start, an Electric Adjustable Sunroof, Rear Power Sunshade and a BOSE Premium 9-speaker system.

The 3rd-gen Teana utilizes a new QR25E Twin-CVTC powerplant for better low- and mid-range torque. The 2.5-liter is stacked with an output of 173 hp and 234 Nm of torque (up 6 Nm from its predecessor), while the 2.0-liter Teana produces 136 hp and 190 Nm. Both powerplants are paired to an XTRONIC CVT automatic transmission with a Drive Sport mode.
